Larry Moore is probably one of the most familiar faces in Kansas City. He is Anchor Emeritus for KMBC 9 News after a career that has spanned 40 years of broadcasting. Larry has been involved in the coverage of almost every major news story that has affected the Kansas City area for the past four decades. Larry’s television news reporting and anchoring have been honored by many prestigious groups including the Missouri Broadcasters Association, the Kansas Broadcasters Association, and the Kansas City Press Club. Kansas City Magazine named him as one of Kansas City’s Top 10 Celebrities.
As a cancer survivor, Larry has shared his story and helped thousands of cancer patients with his guidance and support. He was presented with the prestigious Ambassador of Hope and
Courage Award from the American Cancer Society and the first to be honored with the Cancer Survivorship Award from the Bloch Cancer Foundation. We are honored to have him as a Featured Speaker at the Take Action! Health Conference!
